First off, last classes discussion helped me understand the meaning of sublime.  According to Carrol, people like horror movies because of the curiosity it causes and the feeling of escape you get while watching a horror movie.  I will agree that horror movies do cause a form of curiosity and escape but that does not mean I like all horror movies.  I think many horror movies have terrible plots which makes them very unenjoyable.  The feeling of escape also does not do much for me.  I personally don't like having the life scared out of me while watching a movie.  Now if the horror movie has a good plot, then it is worth sitting through.
