Aristotle and Nietzsche both examined Tragedies. Nietzsche says there are two types of tragedies. Apollinian which is a structured art that creates beauty by form. The other type according to him is the Dioynisian which is the art of participation. This would include tragedies. Aristotle spoke about how we can gain a better understanding of ourselves through tragedie. According to him, humans are attracted to the pain tragedies usually bring.
